UFC 264: Poirier VS McGregor 3 Preview

UFC 264 is going to be one of the biggest event in UFC history. The biggest names in UFC history are going to fight in a packed T-Mobile arena on July 10. Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor are set to fight their trilogy at UFC 264.

Sean O’Malley VS Kris Moutinho (Bantamweight)

Sean O’Malley was scheduled to fight Louis Smolka but he withdrew from the fight due to an injury. Instead of some UFC names, we are going to see a new comer in the form of Kris Moutinho. Sean O’Malley is in great form and a win against Louis Smolka would have given him a chance to move up a ranking but now he will face a new comer which means he is not going to move up. O’Malley is coming withy a victory against Thomas Almeida in UFC 260 and a victory against Moutinho would strengthen his resume for bigger fights later in his career.

As for Moutinho a victory against Sean O’Malley would prove all people wrong as they are not so sure about this fight. He is coming with a two- fight winning streak. He is primarily a knockout artist finishing 3 out of his 9 wins by KO/TKO. It is going to be huge for both fighter to impress Dana White as they are fighting on the biggest card of the year.

Irene Aldana VS Yana Kunitskaya ( Bantamweight)

Irene Aldana and Yana Kunitskaya ranked no.4 and no.5 simultaneously will go head to head at UFC 264 to go up in the bantamweight division. The winner of this fight is probably next on the line to fight for the championship (depends on what happens with Amanda Nunes and Julianna Pena in UFC 265).

Yana Kunitskaya is coming to this fight in a hot form with 2 fights in a row winning both by decisions. She is a knockout artist finishing 7 out of her 14 wins by KO/TKO and 1 by submission. Irene Aldana is coming to this fight after a defeat against Holly Holm . She has finished 6 out of her 12 wins with KO/TKO and 3 with submission. This is not going to be a boring fight with both fighters very good strikers.

Tai Tuivasa VS Greg Hardy (Heavyweight)

Greg Hardy and Tai Tuivasa are fighting to get ranked in Heavyweight division. Tai is coming to this fight on the back of two wins in a row. He finished both of the 2 fights inside round 1 with KO. On the other hand Greg Hardy is coming off a defeat getting knocked out inside round 2.

Greg Hardy has finished 6 out of his 7 fights by knockout. At the same time Tai Tuivasa has finished 10 out of his 11 wins by KO. So on the paper, this fight will not dissapoint us and will not go to the judges for decision.

Gilbert Burns VS Stephen Thompson (Welterweight)

The no.2 Welterweight will go on on one against no.4 Stephen Thompson on the co-main of UFC 264. Stephen Thompson is coming to form and will likely get the title shot if he wins this fight. The Wonderboy is coming to this fight with 2 fight winning streak. This is the first time in a long time Stephen is fighting somebody ranked above him. It will surely bring the best out of him.

Gilbert Burns is coming to this fight with loss against Kamuru Usman for the Welterweight title. His win against Stephen will ensure that he is still in the title frame. Stephen has finished 8 out of his 16 wins and Burns has finished 14 of his 19 wins. There is going to be some action as Wonderboy Karate takes on Durinho Jiu-Jitsu.

Dustin Poirier VS Conor McGregor (Lightweight)

Two of the biggest stars will go head to head on the main event of UFC 264. As the series between these two is tied at 1-1, the trilogy will mean a lot as who wins this battle of superstars and get the title shot against Charles Oliveira. This fight will probably be one of the biggest of all time.

Dustin Poirier is currently the no.1 Lightweight contender in the world. The former interim Lightweight king is eager to get his hands on the gold. He knocked out Conor inside 2 rounds last time they met. He looks a lot better fighter then the first time they met.

Conor McGregor is not coming to this fight with greatest of momentum, losing 2 of his last 3 fights. Although, he seems more motivated then the last time they met. We are seeing the old Conor back in the press conference with a lot of trash talks. The king has done it all in the UFC but wants to do it again to cement his legecy as the greatest UFC fighter of all time.
